WE makes respect for your privacy a priority. In order to avoid any doubts regarding what personal data we process, how we process it and how we protect it, we present the following answers to certain frequently asked questions.

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (GDPR) became effective on 25 May 2018. The GDPR covers all processing of individuals’ personal data within the EU/EEA, regardless of the form, purpose, objective or legal title of such processing or the status of the entity responsible for the processing of personal data.

What personal data do we collect and process?

WE collects and processes the following personal data: identification data (first name, surname, in exceptional cases date of birth), contact data (telephone number, email address, Skype), location data (school, in exceptional cases l home address).

For how long does WE process personal data?

WE processes personal data depending on the purpose, i.e. for the duration of the contractual relationship, or for 8 years after having been granted informed, free consent to the processing of personal data, unless such consent is revoked before the end of that period or if consent does not have to be renewed during that period due to the update (clarification) of the purpose for which it was granted.

How does WE obtain personal data?

WE processes data obtained from the forms you fill on the company’s website, or directly from you in connection with services you request and are provided with, directly from you for the purposes of concluding contracts or issuing invoices, and from the available public registers and databases.

For what purposes does WE use and process personal data?

WE processes personal data particularly without clients’ consent, in order to comply with the obligations stipulated by the legislation, for the conclusion of contracts, for the purpose of providing performance under contracts it has concluded, for the purpose of providing services ordered, to protect its rights and interests protected by law, and for the direct marketing of its own products and services. WE requires that its clients grant their informed consent in writing in order for it to provide their personal data to WE’s contractual partners or for sending clients other interesting news and products.

How does WE ensure the protection of personal data?

Personal data is under constant physical, electronic and procedural control, which ensures that the data processed is protected as securely as possible against any unauthorised transfer, loss or destruction and against any potential misuse. All persons who come into contact with clients’ personal data during the course of their work or contractual obligations are bound by the legal or contractual duty of confidentiality. WE regularly evaluates and updates all its security measures. WE’s contractual partners are also obliged to process all personal data in accordance with the relevant legislation, including the GDPR.

What are your rights in relation to the processing and provision of personal data?

Under the applicable legislation you have, for example, the right to access data we process about you, the right to the portability of selected data and the right to request corrections to data. You may request that personal data be deleted, provided that it no longer has to be processed by law; if it is necessary to enable us to continue to provide you with our services, you have the right to file an objection against the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes.

You have the right to revoke your consent to the use of personal data, if you have granted such consent, without stating the reason, effective for the future. To revoke consent, simply send an email to: info@wattsenglish.com, or you may revoke your consent by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the end of every email presenting news and products from WE and its contractual partners.

Who supervises the protection of personal data?

The protection of personal data is supervised by data protection institutions or authorities appointed by the governments of the relevant EU countries in which WE operates.
